Ciénega

Ciénega is an independent film school and cultural platform in Mexico, creating workshops, seminars and encounters led by working filmmakers. The project began with a specific launch: a new digital experience for Seminario de Guion, a limited-capacity programme combining theoretical and practical sessions. The challenge was to organise a large amount of information without losing the cultural and editorial character of the institution, while creating a clear path from discovery to registration. Rather than treating it as a one-off campaign page, I developed a reusable platform for Ciénega’s wider programme. Connected CMS collections, dynamic instructor profiles, Stripe Checkout and automated email workflows created a system the team can continue using as new workshops are announced.

Shaping the Experience

For this project, I led the digital strategy, UX/UI design, Framer development and automation process in close collaboration with the Ciénega team.

Ciénega needed more than a polished landing page. Each programme had to bring together dates, schedules, format, capacity, instructor information, pricing and registration while remaining easy to understand on mobile and flexible enough to support future launches.

I structured the experience around connected CMS collections for workshops and instructors, allowing information to be managed once and reused throughout the platform. The first complete implementation was Seminario de Guion, with eight theoretical and eight practical sessions and a limited capacity of 30 participants.

Behind the interface, I connected newsletter capture through Framer, Make and MailerLite, and designed the payment journey around Stripe Checkout. I also prepared the platform for launch with responsive refinement, social sharing assets, reviews, cookie and privacy states, a branded 404 page and a clear operational handoff.

Built for an Evolving Programme

Ciénega’s programme changes from one launch to the next, so the platform was designed as a reusable foundation rather than a one-off campaign.

  • New workshops can be published through a consistent CMS workflow

  • Instructor profiles remain connected to every relevant programme

  • Templates adapt to different formats, dates, schedules and content volumes

  • Individual Stripe Checkout links can be managed for each workshop

  • MailerLite groups support confirmations, reminders and future communication

  • Responsive components preserve the editorial experience across screen sizes
